The tour continues inside the Roman Forum, once the political, religious, and social center of Ancient Rome. The Colosseum is the most iconic symbol of Ancient Rome and one of the most famous monuments in the world. Built nearly 2,000 years ago, this extraordinary amphitheater once hosted gladiator battles, animal hunts, and spectacular public events, offering visitors today a unique glimpse into the grandeur and entertainment of the Roman Empire.

Arch of Titus

This arch that was erected in 81 AD inside the Roman Forum and commemorates the victories of Vespasian and his brother Titus in the city of Jerusalem during the War in Judaea. The arch, much smaller than the arch of Constantine, is ornamented with marble reliefs and tells the story of the victory of the Jerusalem temple sacking.

Maxentius Basilica

On the highest point of the Roman Forum you will find the Basilica of Maxentius built in the 4th century AD. The building was and still is one of the colossal monuments of ancient Rome. The immensity of this building overwhelms every single visitor.

Domus Tiberiana

Once home to Roman emperors, The Domus Tiberiana is one of the oldest imperial palaces in Rome, located on the Palatine Hill overlooking the Roman Forum. It was commissioned by Emperor Tiberius in the 1st century AD and later expanded by successive emperors, the palace became one of the main imperial residences, symbolizing the power and prestige of Ancient Rome.

Temple of Caesar

The Temple of Antoninus and Faustina

Is one of the best-preserved monuments in the Roman Forum. Built in 141 AD by Emperor Antoninus Pius in honor of his beloved wife Faustina, the temple was later dedicated to the emperor himself after his death. Its impressive Corinthian columns still dominate the Forum today, offering a remarkable glimpse into the grandeur and devotion of Ancient Rome.

The Senate:Curia

The Senate

Officially the seat of the Roman Senate and initiated by Julius Caesar in 44 BC, the Sent House was damaged in at least one fire and rebuilt numerous times, and now stands as it did in the early 4th century AD. In the 1930s restorations were completed by Mussolini.

- Names provided must match your photo IDs, which are required to enter the Colosseum. Only Passports, National ID cards and Drivers Licences accepted.
