Christmas at the Vatican

christmas at the vatican

This year all the citizens of Rome and visitors to this wonderful city will have the chance to admire something very unique. For the first time the Nativity will be made entirely of sand! 700 tons of sand has been transported from Jesolo (near Venice) to Rome and 4 artists from around the World will work to erect a huge pyramid.

Also, the 21meters high three has been donated to the Pope from the City of Pordenone (close to Trieste) and it will be lit on the 8th of December.
